Toy Collection

People helping people. These are not just words to us. For over a decade, We Florida Financial employees have dedicated ourselves to our home grown and self -funded Community Concerns Committee.

Our aim is to make a difference, however small, to the people in our neighborhoods. Our many, many projects in 2015 included the gathering of used cell phones for Women in Distress, selling candy and teddy bears for the Wounded Warrior project, collecting money for the American Cancer Society and our local CHARLEE House for boys, and delivering canned goods for the Pantry of Broward.

One of our favorite annual projects is always the Holiday toy collection. In conjunction with our seasonal lunch or party, we always gather toys for Kidz Korner, a 24-hour facility providing medical and respiratory care to pediatric patients.

This past December, our employees outdid themselves. At our Holiday party, the usually large  toy pile literally overflowed with books, DVDs, miniature trucks, games and dolls. Wayne  Martin, our committee member and coordinator was happy to gather and deliver the donations t  to Kidz Korner. (He might have even tested some of the toy trucks enroute). It was more than another day at the office. It was people helping people.
